Born and raised in a heavily-polluted community in Brooklyn, she is passionate about sustainable urban planning and the potential of the adaptive and creative reuse of the built environment in building greener cities. She is also interested in exploring nature-based solutions in climate adaptation and resilience. In her mission to advance environmental justice, she’s worked with Natural Resources Defense Council, the San Francisco Environment Department, and the Environmental Protection Agency.
