Kaylin is Anishinaabe, a direct descendant of the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians. She is a double major in sociology and humanities/pre-law with minors in American Indian & Indigenous and LGBTQ+ sexuality studies. She serves as the student government representative for the North American Indigenous Student Organization and is active on the committee working to install a physical land acknowledgement plaque on campus. Kaylin’s passion is advocacy, with a career goal of developing Federal laws and policies related to Native human and civil rights. In her free time, she loves to watch women's soccer and hang out with her rescue dog, Huey.
