Joy Keller-Weidman

Joy Keller-Weidman joined the Morris K. Udall and Stewart L. Udall Foundation as a Senior Program Manager for the John S. McCain III National Center for Environmental Conflict Resolution in September 2015. Joy’s work focuses on assessments, process design, project management, facilitation, mediation, and training. Joy helps to a) build partnerships among Federal, State, and County transportation agencies; Environmental groups; and Tribal entities; and b) resolve long-standing as well as project-specific disputes. She engages all parts of the system in sharing information and decision making around relevant issues. Her collaborative approach promotes safe and productive environments that build relationships, encourage authentic conversations, and generate consensus among multiple stakeholders with diverse perspectives.

Joy has more than 30 years of experience consulting with individuals, teams, communities, and organizations including transportation agencies throughout Arizona, California, and other states. Her projects range from long-term strategic-level partnerships to interagency collaborations and have been recognized with the Arizona Transportation Partnering Excellence Award, established in 2005 and sponsored by eight Federal and State transportation agencies and contractor organizations.

Joy’s education, training, and certifications include a Bachelor of Science in Education; certification in master’s level facilitation, team building, and management and leadership development; training in Transportation Planning; and training as a mediator with the Arizona Attorney General's Office.
