Mike Kruse joined the Morris K. Udall and Stewart L. Udall Foundation (Udall Foundation) in October of 2019 and now serves as the Parks in Focus Program Coordinator. He sees his role with Parks in Focus as an opportunity to bring the joy and wonder of public lands to others. Before joining the Udall Foundation, Mike spent the last 15 years roaming around the West exploring and learning about America’s public lands, including the people and cultures that surround them, along with their ecological, recreational, and spiritual values. He has more than 10 years of experience working in the environmental field and has made it a priority to seek out, educate, and find refuge among these incredible places.
Mike obtained his bachelor’s degree in Resource, Recreation, and Tourism with an Outdoor Recreation Leadership minor from the University of Idaho. He also has a master’s degree in Environmental Studies with a Social Ecology emphasis from Prescott College.
