Meet Our Fellows

Hailey Baker, Cherokee Nation
University of Minnesota-Twin Cities

Hailey is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation. Raised in interior Alaska, she earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Alaska Fairbanks before attending the University of Minnesota for medical school. In her time outside of her medical studies, she is active in both research and health policy initiatives aimed at improving health care and health outcomes for Native people. She currently serves as chair-elect of the American Medical Association - Medical Student Section Committee on American Indian Affairs and as the Central Region Representative of the Association of Native American Medical Students. After completing of her medical training, she intends to practice as a physician in Tribal health.
