Yaelle is a biology major in the ecology, evolutionary, and conservation track and is minoring in environmental studies. Her passion for environmentalism is evident in her work toward a sustainable and equitable food system that supports human and planetary health. Yaelle is interning at the arboretum on the University of Central Florida campus, managing the community garden and donating all produce grown to the on-campus food pantry. She has been involved in various environmental organizations focused on sustainability and the environment. Yaelle's honors undergraduate thesis focuses on enhancing nectar production in native plants for urban landscapes, demonstrating her dedication to promoting ecological balance and encouraging food recovery.
