Induja M. Kumar
Induja (Indu) is a climate studies and political science major from Arizona, currently studying in Nashville, Tennessee at Vanderbilt University. She is interested in environmental justice, urban planning, and designing policy for a just transition. In her work at school, she researches the intersections of climate and migration and is currently working on devising a pathway in which carbon credits can be used to subsidize holistic, preventative healthcare practices. Indu is particularly invested in thinking about how agency can be returned to particular communities to enact solutions to environmental problems that can both address ecosystem concerns as well as concerns of human wellbeing.
