Nadira is a Doris Duke Conservation and Arizona Science Engineering & Math Scholar studying natural resources-wildlife conservation and management at the University of Arizona. From Tucson, Arizona, Nadira is passionate about the Sonoran Desert, volunteering as a junior docent with the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum, conducting conservation research using camera traps, advocating for Just Transition Energy policy, and helping to lead the American Indian Student Initiatives' Indigenous environmental justice club. She is interested in the integration of Indigenous perspectives in wildlife, Tribal lands, and natural resources policy. She aspires to advocate for environmental equity in Indigenous communities.
