Ben studies international relations, is a former co-chair for the Student Sustainability Association at Penn, and a former Sustainability and Community Impact Committee director on the Penn Undergraduate Assembly. He conducts climate-related policy research at Perry World House. Off campus, he is the president and founder of a youth-driven environmental network called ThinkOcean. He also serves as the global policy coordinator for Zero Hour, a climate justice organization. In 2020, Ben took a leave of absence to work on the Biden-Harris campaign, working in 15 states and later serving as a regional organizing director of the Philadelphia voter turnout effort. He hopes to enter a career in environmental policy.
