Diego is from Austin, Texas and studies ecosystem science and sustainability and political communication at Colorado State University (CSU). He’s interned for the Navajo Nation Washington Office and Congressman Lloyd Doggett where he focused on environmental and health policy. At CSU, Diego is president of Warner College Council and Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences. He’s a senator for ASCSU and chairs the Diversity and Inclusion Caucus. He also works for the Warner College as a student ambassador, focusing on diversity initiatives. He's passionate about leading efforts in environmental justice to support equitable communities and seeks a career implementing policies related to health, environment, and civil rights.
