What is Parks in Focus® – Our Team

Elle Appell was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from the University of Arizona in hopes to help future generations learn and take care of the environment. Elle discovered her love of nature while working with the Youth Conservation Corps at Saguaro National Park. She interned with the Resource Management team at Saguaro National Park and was exposed to the Sonoran Desert’s history, plants, and animals, which she continued to learn about and share with the community while interning with Saguaro National Park’s Education team. Her love of the Sonoran Desert is ever growing, and she hopes to share this passion with youth through her interests such as photography and other forms of art. Elle uses her free time exploring the outdoors with her dog and creating art from her adventures.
