Amaria S. Rosado, Confederated Tribes of the Chehalis Reservation
University of Washington

Amaria Rosado is a member of the Confederated Tribes of the Chehalis Reservation and a direct descendant of the Nisqually Indian Tribe. Amaria is currently a junior at the University of Washington, Seattle pursuing a bachelor’s degree in law, societies, and justice & political science with a minor in human rights. She has interned for U.S. Representative Pramila Jaypal (WA-07) and at a Civil Rights Law Firm in Seattle. Amaria has worked for her Tribe through their summer youth programs, shadowed Tribal attorneys, and has been an advocate for underserved communities throughout the Seattle-Tacoma area. After graduating with her bachelor’s, Amaria plans to pursue her Juris Doctorate and study Federal Indian law to restore and protect the rights of Indigenous peoples, Tribes, waterways, and land.
