Roundtable on Collaborative Environmental Governance

Posted: 7/8/2011

On April 26, 2011 the Center for Environmental Policy and U.S. Institute for Environmental Conflict Resolution held the first of a planned series of Roundtables on Collaborative Environmental Governance. The video of the Roundtable can be found at the Center for Environmental Policy’s web site: http://www.american.edu/spa/cep/

The series provides a forum for Washington-area professionals interested in collaborative governance to share experiences, learn about research, and meet other people active in the field. Following an opening presentation by Center Director Dan Fiorino, Suzanne Orenstein of the Institute moderated a panel discussion on current collaborative efforts at three federal agencies. The panelists were Gabriela Chavarria of the Fish and Wildlife Service, Michael Weiss of the Council on Environmental Quality, and Martha Twarkins of the Forest Service.

Information on the second Roundtable will be available by the end of August. If you would like to be added to the contact list for the series, please contact Marie Horbar at the U.S. Institute for Environmental Conflict Resolution (horbar@ecr.gov).
