Veronica is a biological engineering and math major at the University of Missouri in Columbia. She invests her time in research and working with sustainable agriculture. She works at the local farmers market, communicating directly with local farmers. At her university, she is the treasurer of the Biological Engineering Honors Society. She is involved with Climate Leaders at Mizzou, a club petitioning for her university to divest from fossil fuels. She has served as the historian for the Engineering Sorority, an organization working to promote a community of women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Outside of class and clubs, she tutors students in calculus at the Student Success Center. Within her community, she is active in volunteering with Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture as well as Peace Works, two organizations working to develop an accessible and sustainable culture.
