Michelle Torelli is a BS/MS student majoring in chemical engineering and environmental engineering at Drexel University, with a minor in information systems. She has acquired a vast background in materials, chemical, and environmental engineering. As part of her goal to reduce carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere, Michelle is writing her thesis in process modeling by assessing a new scalable production of biofuels under a Department of Energy initiative. She is also leading an international project for the development of novel environmental catalysts. In addition to her research, she is active on campus as the president for Latinos on Fast Track and a mentor for the Society of Women Engineers.
