Job Opportunity - Program Associate/Senior Program Associate
The Udall Foundation’s John S. McCain III National Center for Environmental Conflict Resolution (NCECR) is seeking a dynamic professional to serve as a Program Associate or Senior Program Associate. This job is a full-time, permanent, Federal position in an Excepted Service Appointment. It is based in the Udall Foundation’s Tucson office.
We are looking for a dynamic professional interested in the environmental, public policy, and conflict resolution fields. The successful candidate will provide support for mediation, facilitation, and training services. Projects often are complex and contentious, requiring independent thought and the ability to work well in teams. Minimum requirements include a bachelor's degree and two (2) years' experience in environmental, natural resources, or land use law, science, policy, or planning related to complex public policy issues, as well as at least one (1) year of facilitation or conflict resolution experience or equivalent educational experience.
NCECR is a program of the Morris K. Udall and Stewart L. Udall Foundation, an independent executive branch agency that fosters leadership, education, collaboration, and conflict resolution in the areas of environment, public lands, Native Nations, and natural resources. NCECR was formerly the U.S. Institute for Environmental Conflict Resolution. The position is at a level of compensation and responsibilities comparable to a GS-9 (Program Associate) or GS-11 (Senior Program Associate). Travel is required for this position (25% or less).
