Mark T. Nethery
Mark Nethery has served as the Governmental Affairs Liaison for the League of Kentucky Sportsmen (LKS) since June of 2014. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Nethery served three terms as President of the LKS, Kentucky’s oldest and largest sportsman and conservation organization.
Mr. Nethery continues his advocacy for the proper management of natural resources, wildlife, and wildlife habitat. Now, as during his tenure as President of the LKS, Mr. Nethery works with elected officials, state agencies, and civic leaders to implement policies directly affecting the natural resources and sportsmen/women of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
In the private sector, as the Chief Operations Officer of a regional specialty coffee company, Mr. Nethery retired after 30 years. During his years of service, in addition to the day-to-day management, Mr. Nethery traveled extensively in South and Central America, educating growers as to the benefits of producing high quality coffees and served on various domestic and international trade committees. At home, Mr. Nethery served on numerous boards and charities, including 28 years as an executive officer/board member of the KY Restaurant Association and 15 years as a board member of the Lincoln Heritage Council Boy Scouts of America.
An avid sportsman, Mr. Nethery is an accomplished competitive shooter, enjoys upland bird and big game hunting, and is a freelance outdoors writer and craftsman.
Mr. Nethery lives with his wife, Regina, and their two daughters in Louisville, Kentucky.
