Working in the House Committee on Natural Resources, Office of Indian Affairs, I learned about policy-making from start to finish. I met with tribal representatives and researched sacred lands legislation, and helped draft legislation and prepare for hearings.

All Native students interested in a law career should get involved with the Udall Native American Congressional Internship program to gain real-world legal experience at the highest levels of government. My experience at the CEQ gave me the confidence to interact with some of the most respected attorneys in Washington, D.C. After working here, I feel that I could step right in to any law office in the country.
