Byron “Craig” Williams, Jr. is a member of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians. A lifelong resident of New Orleans, Louisiana, Craig is currently pursuing a J.D. with a certificate in federal Indian law from the University of New Mexico, School of Law. He holds a master’s degree from Jackson State University and an undergraduate degree from Auburn University. Craig is the former president of the Native American Law Students Association at the University of New Mexico, School of Law. Upon graduation he hopes to work on behalf of tribes through lobbying and legal representation.
