Vincent S. Holguin
Vincent Holguin is an enrolled member of the Gabrielino-Tongva Tribe, historically known as the San Gabriel Band of Mission Indians, in Los Angeles, California. Vincent was awarded the tribe’s first President’s Scholarship to California State University, Long Beach. Vincent is currently seeking his bachelor’s degree in construction engineering management and a certificate in American Indian studies. He aspires to help the American Indian and Alaskan Native people work toward strengthening communities and families through research and politics. Today the Gabrielino-Tongva Tribe’s sacred site of Puvungna is located at Cal State Long Beach and remains the center for the tribe’s cultural activities.
