Leah Edwards is a junior at the University of Arizona majoring in environmental and water resource economics and political science and minoring in public health. She is a NASA Space Grant Intern conducting an environmental life cycle assessment of homecoming events at the University of Arizona. She initiated and led the “Ready, Set, Recycle!” initiative at the University of Arizona, which replaced and rearranged approximately three thousand recycling bins on the indoor university campus. Upon graduation, Leah plans on pursuing a master’s of environmental urban planning and a J.D. She will pursue a career in sustainable urban planning and policy. How can you describe a weekend of student leaders from across the U.S. with an intense passion to change the world? The Orientation was a phenomenal experience to meet and build connections that I'm sure will last a lifetime.
