Shaza Hussein

Shaza is a first-generation American and an Honors College student majoring in environmental policy and chemistry at the University of South Florida. She has served as president and founder of USF's Keep Our School Beautiful and EcoMentors, which focus on environmental stewardship and education respectively. She will be traveling to Maine this summer for a NOAA internship with the Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve. Shaza will pursue a PhD in climate science and environmental sociology in preparation for a career working as an environmental activist, educator, and researcher studying the anthropogenic effects of global warming on developing communities.
