Ashley is a comparative politics major at Princeton University, with a concentration in entrepreneurship under conditions of disadvantage, and minors in environmental and American studies. Raised in the Midwest, Ashley became interested in the relationship between environmental issues and economic development while working with the Oglala Lakota as a Yale Law School Liman Fellow, and as an environmental science intern at Bioversity International in Maccarese, Italy, where she researched the agrobiodiversity conservation strategies of indigenous populations. After graduation, Ashley intends to enter the field of social entrepreneurship in emerging markets, and is currently developing Pasand, an enterprise based in India.
