Shannon E. Clark
San Diego State University

Shannon is a political science major, with a minor in environmental studies, focused on creating sustainability through energy efficiency. At San Diego State, she has worked on many projects designed to reduce the school's electricity use, such as a re-lamping of all the dining facilities on campus. She recently participated in the Panetta Institute for Public Policy’s Congressional Internship Program in Washington, DC. During her time there, Shannon worked with environmental legislation, inspiring her dream to work with environmental policy someday. In her spare time, Shannon loves enjoying the beautiful San Diego weather.

How can you describe a weekend of student leaders from across the U.S. with an intense passion to change the world? The Orientation was a phenomenal experience to meet and build connections that I'm sure will last a lifetime.
