Sarah J. Walker
Sarah is Yup’ik and Iñupiaq Eskimo and a first-generation college student at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF). At UAF, she is pursuing two degrees in Alaska Native studies and rural development, with a Yup’ik Eskimo minor. Sarah’s concentrations are in Alaska Native law, government and politics, and tribal and local government administration. In addition to her studies, Sarah works part-time as the Festival of Native Arts Student Coordinator as well as staying active with over twelve UAF student organizations on campus, serving as the president for two clubs.

How can you describe a weekend of student leaders from across the U.S. with an intense passion to change the world? The Orientation was a phenomenal experience to meet and build connections that I'm sure will last a lifetime.
