Jacob R. Becraft

Jacob is a junior at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, studying chemical and biomolecular engineering. Jacob is the project lead for a group which has designed a heavy metals water filter for financially developing regions. The group works to design, test, and implement the filter in regions most severely affected by heavy metal toxicity. In his free time, Jacob enjoys writing music, weight lifting, and practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

How can you describe a weekend of student leaders from across the U.S. with an intense passion to change the world? The Orientation was a phenomenal experience to meet and build connections that I'm sure will last a lifetime.
