Kayla is a sophomore focusing on global environmental politics, international development, and Middle East studies at American University. She is particularly interested in water resource management in the Middle East and will be studying this topic in Amman, Jordan next year. Over the past winter, Kayla worked on an olive farm in Jordan and is currently employed by the Office of Sustainability as a peer-to-peer eco-representative. She also leads the University College: Sustainable Earth program in service learning projects and undergraduate research regarding storm water mitigation practices. In addition to her work, Kayla enjoys biking, travelling, and volunteering on a regular basis.
