Brian G. Schuster
Brian is a chemical engineering student at North Carolina State University, with the goal of advancing biomass-derived fuel as a climate-neutral, economical alternative to petroleum fuels. Last summer, he worked at SGL Carbon in Meitingen, Germany. He recently founded the Belize Unified Initiative for Long-term Development with the aim of improving sustainable agriculture and business in Belize. He is also expanding a new venture, Dyad Technologies, to produce a safer, more versatile hiking boot in collaboration with other companies. After graduating, he plans to pursue a PhD or work for a start-up company producing second-generation biofuels.

How can you describe a weekend of student leaders from across the U.S. with an intense passion to change the world? The Orientation was a phenomenal experience to meet and build connections that I'm sure will last a lifetime.
