Katherine Y. Ullmann
Katie is a junior at Vanderbilt University, majoring in American studies, who has organized environmental events and campaigns for the past five years. Her work includes establishing the Vanderbilt Green Fund, a $75,000 grant from the university's administration for student-designed sustainability projects; serving as Co-President of the largest campus student environmental club; coordinating campus recycling efforts; and interning in the Nashville Mayor's Office of Environment & Sustainability. Katie also spent the summer of 2011 organizing climate leadership workshops in the Pacific Islands with 350.org and the Marshall Islands Conservation Society. In her free time, Katie enjoys practicing and teaching yoga.

How can you describe a weekend of student leaders from across the U.S. with an intense passion to change the world? The Orientation was a phenomenal experience to meet and build connections that I'm sure will last a lifetime.
